RotoPicks Top 5 Fantasy Draft Picks for 2010

1 Drew Brees (NO) After last year's Super Bowl MVP performance it's hard to see any QB being drafted before Brees.  Brees has led the league in passing TDs in each of the last 2 years.
2 Aaron Rodgers (GB) Since becoming the full-time starter, Rodgers has rocketed into the top QB tier.  Rodgers has thrown for at least 4,000 yards and has cashed in on at least 30 total TDs in each of the last 2 seasons.
3 Peyton Manning (IND) Manning is a perennial top 3 pick at QB and is a virtual lock for over 4,000 yards and about 30 TDs.
4 Matt Schaub (HOU) Shaub not only showed us that he can stay healthy for a full season, but that he will also air it out when given the chance.  Schaub led all QB’s in passing attempts (583), completions (396) and yards (4,770) in 2009.
5 Tom Brady (NE) A healthy Brady should reclaim his elite status in 2010 despite the injury to shifty WR Wes Welker.

1 Andre Johnson (HOU) Johnson has turned in back-to-back 100 catch, 1,500 yard seasons to claim the top spot among all WRs. Johnson will be this year's top pick at WR in PPR and Standard leagues.
2 Larry Fitzgerald (ARI)

Fitz has posted over 1,000 yards receiving and double-digit TDs in 4 of his 6 seasons in the league.  Arizona's changes at QB and WR might hurt this stud.  Buyer beware.

3 Randy Moss (NE) Moss' 13 TDs in 2009 tied Larry Fitzgerald for the most receiving TDs by a WR.  The AFC East is getting tougher, but Moss is still the best WR in the division.
4 Reggie Wayne (IND) Coming off his 6th consecutive 1,000-plus yard season, it's hard to find a more reliable option than Wayne.
5 Miles Austin (DAL) Austin posted career numbers last season with 81 receptions for 1,320 yards and 11 receiving TDs.  He will be the top option in Dallas next year regardless of what Roy Williams has to say about it.

1 Chris Johnson (TEN) Expect Johnson to be the top overall pick in all drafts this year after posting over 2,000 yards rushing in 2009.
2 Adrian Peterson (MIN) Peterson turned in over 1,800 total yards and led all RBs with 18 rushing TDs last season.  His rushing totals might get back to 2008 levels depending on who is under center.
3 Maurice Jones-Drew (JAX) MJD proved he could carry the load last season.  Expect more of the same as the Jag's offensive line matures and questions at WR go unanswered.
4 Frank Gore (SF) Gore is coming off his 4th straight 1,000-plus yard rushing season and a career year for TDs (10 rushing, 3 receiving).  Injuries are an issue, but I don't think you can go wrong with Gore in Mike Singletary's run-first system.
5 Ray Rice (BAL) Rice exploded on to the fantasy scene last season as a differnece maker in PPR and standard leagues.  Rice led all RBs in receptions (78) and receiving yards (702) while turning in 1,300 yards rushing and 8 total TDs.  Give Rice top 3 consideration in PPR leagues.

1 Dallas Clark (IND) Last season Clark proved that he would be the one to pick up the slack for the Colts young receiving corps.  There's no reason to think that anything will change in 2010.  Clark is coming off a career year in 2009 where he led all TEs in receptions (100), finished 2nd among TEs in yards receiveing (1,106) and ranked 3rd among TEs in receiving TDs (10).
2 Antonio Gates (SD) Few players are as reliable at their position as Gates who has scored at least 8 receiving TDs in each of the last 6 seasons.  Gates led all TEs in yards receiving in 2009 with 1,157 yards.  Without a reliable running game, Rivers might need to target Gates a few more times this season.
3 Vernon Davis (SF) Vernon Davis broke out in 2009, hauling in a league high 13 receiving TDs (tied with R.Moss and L.Fitzgerald).  Davis also finished the year ranked 5th in both receptions (78) and yards receiving (965) among TEs.
4 Tony Gonzalez (ATL) Injuries to a couple of Atlanta's key starters made for a down year for Gonzalez who still managed to turn in 83 receptions for 867 yards and 6 TDs.  Expect Gonzalez to exceed his 2009 totals when Ryan and Turner come back at full strength.
5 Jason Witten (DAL) Witten turned in a decent 2009 season with 94 receptions for 1,030 yards receiving, but only found the end zone 2 times.  Witten is still a top 5 option in PPR leagues, but in standard format you'll be just as safe taking Owen Daniels, Brent Celek or Jermichael Finley in your top 5.
